Shouldn’t We All Stand Against Gossip Culture at Workplaces Now?

I did that and it was very stressful all the time. I worked in a company for 4 years. I was a very hardworking person. Therefore I got success rapidly as compared to so many other workers. I got my first award after completing my first year and that was very rare to achieve by working for just one year. It built a jealousy factor in so many co-workers there and they started gossiping about me. They started discussing my personal life. They strived to spread false rumors about my promotion and portrayed it as gifted not earned. Although, all of my seniors were so happy with my work. But the decorum of that workplace was becoming so undesirable for me day by day. The gossip culture of that workplace had numerous negative effects on me. I am describing them below shortly:That atmosphere of back-biting and criticizing my work negatively decreased my job satisfaction. I started finding that workplace very toxic for my mental health and growth. I was working hard, getting a very handsome amount of salary but I was not happy. I started avoiding my colleagues. One or two of them were very supportive but that didn’t make a difference. But I noticed a strange thing there. I observed that 90% of people in that company were super hypocrites and that was the worst thing for me there.
