Writing will change your life
I made my second grade teacher cry…
The only thing that I ever wrote that I was proud of, was in second grade. I wrote about Thor, he was my second dog. After Max, my first dog, Thor was my second of my first three dogs to pass away. I have a terrible memory, but I can still remember that night. My mom woke me up late at night to tell me Thor had just gone outside, layed down, closed his eyes and died. Lying in the white snow was my brindle american bulldog.

I wrote a short story(with pictures) about that night as my writing assignment. I got a 100% on that paper, and my teacher said she cried while reading it. Wow, my story had that much of an impact!
Well good for me because the rest of my writing wasn’t so impactful. From middle school to high school, I don’t think I got a single A, on any paper. I hated writing and I guess my teachers hated my writing too. I still remember the torture of having to write some paper about a topic or book I didn’t give a rats ass about. I would procrastinate and BS some last minute paper.
I never felt like my writing was bad. In fact, besides the million grammar mistakes I made, I felt like my writing and writing style was pretty good.
