It’s Okay To Waste Your Time
One thing you learn quickly about running a business is there is a never-ending amount of work to do. By extension, our lives beyond work can also be endless as we can always be improving ourselves or find something to occupy our minds.
This is both a blessing and a curse in that we can never truly be bored and always be growing and improving some part of our lives. But it also gives us a reason to be relentlessly productive and that it’s easy for others to exploit that fact in order to profit.
Whether it’s productivity tools, courses on productivity, or hustle bro efforts itself, these things instill in us that we always need to be doing something with our time. You have to check your emails and see if that one person got back to you. You have to keep working another hour or dozen more for your business, even when you’ve done a reasonable amount for the day.
Because looking around at what’s going on in the world and you begin to see just how screwed up that all looks. Writers for comedians, Netflix shows, and more are on strike and asking for a raise while the CEO rakes in millions of dollars.
