“I’m 25 And Have No Friends…”
It’s from a viral trend that has taken over YouTube recently. If you were to head to the search engine and type this phrase in, you will be bombarded with hundreds of videos of people suffering from loneliness. Some being viewed a few times, while others have been viewed almost 1 million times. In these videos, young men (and some women) between the ages of 23–33 discuss how lonely they are. They admit they don’t have any friends and that their life sucks. In this article, I’m going to help these people out by dishing out some cold hard truths that they need to hear.Firstly, let’s talk about the lads in question.I’m sure some of them are being genuine, whilst others are merely hopping on the viral bandwagon. This is simply the nature of people on the internet. They’ll do anything for attention.Even if it means lying. But I’m going to ignore the frauds today and instead focus on the lonely men who have genuine grievances. It’s good that they’re willing to put themselves out there and speak their truth. But there’s a massive problem. There’s this idea that putting your problem into the digital world is somehow a strategy to solve it.I’m sorry, but it isn’t.When you talk about how lonely you are in front of a camera, you’re not solving your true problem.
